My sweet little window garden

As every year, I’ve restocked my little window garden with new herbs. In fact, I’ve expanded it a bit and it now covers almost all the windows in my apartment.

Having a window garden (or something similar on your balcony) is the best thing you can do to get fresh herbs/veggies, even if you don’t have a full fledged garden. It enables you to grow your own ingredients and even brings a little joy into your live. Seeing it flourish and grow is absolutely worth it.

And imagine needing a few coriander leaves and just being able to walk to your window and pick them right then and there. It doesn’t get better than that!

What I’ve planted to far:

  • Mint
  • Oregano
  • Garden sorrel
  • Chives
  • Parsley
  • Coriander
  • Lavender
  • Dill

Right now, there are two empty spots yet to be filled: One for a nice big bush of Basil and one to be determined later (I’m always open for suggestions).

Are you planning on growing your own window garden or do you already have one? What herbs/veggies are you growing? Please let me know on Twitter @casual_kitchen.
